Big (Sonic Adventure (ReSaurus)) Review
Big
Sonic Adventure (ReSaurus) (ReSaurus)ReSaurus was a short lived toy company and began in the 90s, and shut down in 2001. Some of their licenses included Jeff Smith's Bone, Speed Racer, Street Fighter, Sonic Adventure, and Crash Bandicoot, and the latter two licenses can go for high prices on eBay and othe online stores. Years ago, I was lucky to find this figure, who in this case, is Big the Cat from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. I got him loose, so I won't being doing a score for the package.

Sculpt - ***1/2
The sculpt is very good, especially if you compare it to Toy Island's Big the Cat. Most of the body is plastic, but the head and tail are made of a softer, vinyl-like material. The elbow on his left arm is bent, which looks really nice.

Paint - ***
The paint job isn't too bad. Some smudges on it, but it's a used figure, what can I say. The head and tail are notably a bit faded, mainly because they're made out of a different material.

Articulation - ***
Cut joints at the neck, shoulders, wrists, waist (at the top of the belt), hips, and tail. His shoulders aren't ball-jointed like most of the other Sonic figures ReSaurus made, but he still poses very well. Also, the neck and tail do make some squeaking when you turn them.

Accessories - **1/2
Big comes with his fishing rod, which fits in his left hand, and a green-colored base modeled after him. He's also supposed to come with a ring and a clear post for it, but the one I got didn't have it.
My main problem with this figure is that his friend Froggy isn't included, and the score would be much higher if he had him.

Current value - ***
According to the Sonic News Network, ReSaurus' second wave of Sonic figures are hard to find due to them being released some time before the company closed its' doors, There's currently one in box selling on ebay for $150 including shipping, but loose ones of the figure are usually between $30-40. So be prepared to pay big money if you find one.

Overall - ***
This is definitely a rare figure, and he's pretty nice. If he had Froggy as an accessory, his score would be higher.
