Style Guide Colors (4-Pack)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Classic Cartoon (Neca) - Multi-Packs
Rated 4.75 stars by RMaster007
Given how all the TMNT cartoon pre-orders on the NECA Store seemingly won’t be shipped out until Q4 this year, we got ourselves a bit of a break from that sub-line. We still have some stuff lingering at Target to pick up, though, such as a new four-pack. A couple fans have asked NECA if the “style guide” turtles would be coming back, and they honored their wishes with not two two-packs, but a single set. It’s been showing up in surprisingly large amounts, and I’ve had more luck seeing it in stores than the Turtles in Disguise set, which I’ve never seen at retail. Speaking of which, you know how that set had a fifth panel box with awesome artwork? The box for this set isn’t like that. It’s a long window box with the same design cues that the two-packs have, but we at least got some nice...[See More]
Antrax and Scumbug
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Classic Cartoon (Neca) - Multi-Packs
Rated 4.85 stars by RMaster007
They want more than crumbs… The old cartoon made sure to work in almost every character that appeared in the original toy line, even if some only appeared for a single episode. Amongst the one-offs included the insects Antrax and Scumbug, who only appeared in season 7’s “Night of the Rogues”, joining the turtles’ other past foes to take them down, even though they never fought them before (or at we didn’t see them fight for the first time). Still, NECA did them. We got Ace, who only had a few seconds of screentime in the show, as a figure, so I think anyone’s possible by this point. The box is pretty much the same as the rest of the line, so why bring it up here? Because behind the plastic tray where everything’s in, there’s another tray that has… nothing? I guess they included it to...[See More]
Turtles in Disguise!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Classic Cartoon (Neca) - Multi-Packs
Rated 4.90 stars by RMaster007
This may be it, guys. The pinnacle of Turtle figures. When this set was first revealed in late 2020, early 2021, I was impressed and couldn’t wait to find it in stores. But even as TMNT was getting a better presence at my local Targets, I could never find it. So when NECA announced that you could get it directly through them via pre-orders on their site, I jumped right at the chance. These pre-orders shipped out earlier this year, and you will not believe how happy I am to get one. Since this is a four-pack, the box is really long, but they also made it special. The fifth panel “flap” has some great artwork on the front, and the sides, top, and other side of the flap have all sorts of little references to the cartoon only dedicated fans will get. There are two plastic trays on the...[See More]
Pizza Monster (Another One Bites the Crust)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Classic Cartoon (Neca) - Basic Series
Rated 3.80 stars by RMaster007
In the sewers, no one can hear you scream… since you’ll be a couple feet underground, I guess. Back in a season two episode, the Turtles found themselves facing against giant monsters that Shredder and Baxter created, and they were pretty much Xenomorph copies. This beast was the first of three new TMNT figures to drop as pre-orders on the NECA Store first, and a few months after they all shipped out, they began hitting Target as well. We got a large box here, around the same size as Chrome Dome’s, and the VHS-inspired artwork on it as great as always. I was half-expecting them to use the same artwork that the old VHS of the episode had, but this is a little better. Everything’s held in by those damn plastic ties, though, so get your scissors ready. The sculpt on the Pizza Monster may...[See More]
Ace Duck and Mutagen Man
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Classic Cartoon (Neca) - Multi-Packs
Rated 5.00 stars by RMaster007
Well, this was a halfway unexpected release. Let’s face it, nobody expected Ace Duck to be a part of the toon line because he never really was a character on the show. Most he got was a brief cameo on the Turtles’ TV in “Attack of Big MACC”, with the only thing established about him is that he had a series of films. That sole appearance was enough reason for NECA to put him in the line, I guess. Ace’s appearance in the show wasn’t all too different from how he looked in the original toyline, except he didn’t have any wings. This figure, on the other hand, does have his wings, and they have a nice feathery appearance. Ace has a removable hat and two different heads: a wide-eyed head with a grin, and an angrier expression with an open beak. The beaks can be swapped as well, which is a...[See More]
Muckman & Joe Eyeball (Toxicity Now!)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Classic Cartoon (Neca) - Basic Series
Rated 4.90 stars by RMaster007
Talk about an unexpected release. While NECA has been no stranger to repaints, it’s rare that they do them, which is why they’re unexpected. Their latest repaint happens to be of Muckman from their TMNT line, in a release titled “Toxicity Now!”. Much like with everything as part of Haulathon, these are hitting Targets in large amounts, so he should be easy to get ahold of. The FHE-inspired packaging is present once again, but this time, they based it off of the “Sewer Heroes” tapes. In addition to getting a nice new illustration of Muckman and Joe Eyeball, it, along with the TMNT logo on the front, glow in the dark. Is that a hint towards what’s special about this variant? Could be. The plastic interior is the same as the regular version, but that’s not a surprise. Muckman’s sculpt is...[See More]
Super Bebop and Mighty Rocksteady
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Classic Cartoon (Neca) - Multi-Packs
Rated 4.85 stars by RMaster007
"Stomp toitles! Stomp toitles!" Looks like we've gotten the fourth Bebop and Rocksteady figures by NECA, technically. These aren't Bebop and Rocksteady, but rather their robotic counterparts, Mighty Bebop and Super Rocksteady, both of whom come from a season 3 episode where Shredder and Krang make mechanical clones of their dim-witted henchmen to carry out their latest evil task. These are dropping as part of Target's Haulathon event, but I'd get looking now, these are going faster than you think. The packaging follows the same cues as the rest of the line, but it's worth noting two things. One is that there are no plastic ties holding in the accessories, but there's still a couple to deal with on the figures themselves. The other thing is that they got the names wrong, calling them...[See More]

The episode title for which these figures are in is called "Super Bebop and Mighty Rocksteady". So even the show didn't know who was who.
Dirtbag and Groundchuck
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Classic Cartoon (Neca) - Multi-Packs
Rated 5.00 stars by RMaster007
The guys over at NECA must really like the “Planet of the Turtleoids” episode of the classic TMNT series, huh? I’m asking that cause this is the third instance of a character from that episode being made into a figure. First it was Kerma as a pack-in with Mondo, then Chrome Dome, and now Dirtbag and Groundchuck. These two were released alongside Wingnut and Screwloose back in November, but were much harder to find. It wasn’t until recently that I was finally able to find them in store. The packaging follows the same style of the other two-packs, but as I mentioned with W&S, the figure images on the sides and back are no longer cropped, and there’s more of an orange-yellow gradient here as well. It’s easy to open and get everything out, but keep in mind there’s a handful of plastic ties...[See More]
Channel 6 News (4-Pack)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Classic Cartoon (Neca) - Basic Series
Rated 4.45 stars by RMaster007
Last year, SDCC went on in a usual way thanks to COVID. However, I’m not sure what to really say about it aside from the fact that a good deal of exclusives ended up being pre-orders rather than being directly available. NECA was one of the companies that did pre-orders with retro-inspired Flash Gordon figures and a new TMNT four-pack (like every year), both going up on their site first then both shipping out and showing up at Target around the end of the year. And surprise, surprise, the TMNT set is based off the cartoon, bringing together the Channel 6 news team, and is appropriately titled “The Catwoman from Channel 6”. The pre-order was a long while ago, but if you missed that, it shouldn’t be too hard to find at Target (unless you’re in MD). The box for this set is huge, which is...[See More]
Raphael
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Classic Cartoon (Neca) - Giant-Sized
Rated 4.90 stars by RMaster007
Yeah, sure, sixth-scale is cool and all, but what about quarter-scale? I will admit I feel that not a lot of companies are doing stuff in a ¼ scale, but NECA is one that enjoys doing it. But rather than being super-expensive statues and whatnot, their offerings in this size range are affordable and fully-posable. I got my first figure in this scale a while back, and not surprisingly, it’s a Ninja Turtle, and the best one at that. This is not the first time NECA did quarter-scale Turtles, though. They did some movie ones a few years back, and a lot of people enjoyed them. It was last year that they announced the toon line would be receiving this treatment as well, starting with Raphael. While we ended up waiting longer than anticipated for him, he saw release in the first quarter (get...[See More]
