Articuno Pokemon Select (Jazwares) - Series 1 Rated 3.50 stars by Milbury If you've ever wanted to see your favorite Marvel Legends scale figure riding the Freeze Pokémon into battle, this Articuno figure is for you. At 5 inches tall and with a 12 inch wingspan, Pokémon Select Articuno is a robustly sized figure that will eat up a chunk of shelf space so be warned. Boasting 18 points of (mostly feet) articulation and a sturdy stand, Articuno has about as much poseability as one could reasonably expect a bird figure to have, sadly it does not come with any additional ice accessories to emulate its various attacks. It of course has a cartoony appearance, but it's a Pokémon figure so cartoony is just par for the course. It's not a perfect figure by any means, but if you're an oldschool Pokéfan or just really like this one Pokémon, go ahead and throw a Master Ball...[See More]
Rayquaza Pokemon Select (Jazwares) - Series 1 Rated 4.75 stars by Karl T. Face Well, I can't say too much about the character here. Never played any of the games. But I do love me some monsters, and boy howdy, does this franchise have a lot of them.
Straight out of the package, dude's in his classic half-pretzel pose. Sculpting is on point, paint is near perfect all around. The clear stand holds up well, and has a hinge at the connection point.
And then there's the articulation. This is my first Select; having gotten used to 5 POA on average, this thing is amazing. The neck and the first few segments are swivel/hinges, as are the shoulders, elbows, and wrists. The reminding segments are plain swivels, but the curves allow for a lot of options.
My only complaint, and this may well be a rare issue, is that every joint on mine is monstrously stiff. I put small stress...[See More]
Charizard (Dracaufeu) Pokemon Select (Jazwares) - Series 1 Rated 4.35 stars by RMaster007 Has anyone heard of Jazwares before they started doing Fortnite figures? I’ve gotten a couple of their older figures as I grew up, and a good amount of them were hit-or-miss, and I believe the main issue with them was floppy and weak joints. The last “new” thing I got from them was a Fortnite figure set that was gifted to me for some reason, and I was surprised by how good the joints were considering their earlier work. But I’m not talking about those (maybe someday I will), I’m talking about their new Pokémon figures. They got the license through Wicked Cool Toys (which they at first owned and then merged into the host company) and did the same stuff they were doing, but now they’re doing a “Select” figure line, meant to go with their Fortnite stuff and pretty much everything Hasbro’s...[See More]
