Debrah Ann Miceli began wrestling in 1984 on the independent circuit, and by 1986 had joined the AWA as “Madusa Miceli”, where she rose to become the AWA World Women’s Champion. In 1988, she was the first woman to receive Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s “Rookie of the Year” award, and a year later made her way to All Japan Women’s Pro-Wrestling as the first foreign wrestler to sign with that organization.

Returning to the U.S. to join WCW in 1991, she became a member of “The Dangerous Alliance” (serving primarily as Rick Rude’s valet) before making her move to the WWF in 1993 under the name “Alundra Blayze”. Blayze held the WWF Women’s Championship three times, but would eventually return to WCW amidst much controversy, when she made her first appearance on Monday Nitro holding her WWF Women’s Championship, and proceeded to dump the title into a garbage can on live television. She remained in WCW as “Madusa” until her retirement from wrestling in 2001.

Alundra Blayze was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015.
