The starship Enterprise and its crew have taken a time of leave and have docked on Earth to repair they're ship. Here the crew tries to takes some time off and enjoy themselves. Kirk and Spock head off into the mountains while the other members go on their own ways until it is time to leave on another quest. Little do they al know, adventures wait for no one! On the desolate Nimbus III, Spock's half brother Sybok has taken hostages in an effort to secure a ship. With a ship he plans to set off to the planet Sha Kee Ree, a place supposed to be the home of the God. Relinquishing his powers to help avoid violence, Kirk helps Sybok on his journey. Little do any of them know, a long and dangerous journey awaits them, one that will test all of their wits and skill...
