Description from back of card: "In their quest for the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry, Ron, and Hermione become live chess pieces in an enchanted chess game. With great courage and a mastery of chess moves, Ron directs his friends across the board- eventually sacrificing himself so Harry can checkmate the king!"
Accessories: Chess piece base.
This figure, from the Deluxe Creature Collection, is really two figures in one: the knight and its horse. The knight, which sits atop the horse, "explodes" off the horse into three pieces when the knight's legs are squeezed together. The horse also appears to explode off the base.
Of note is that this figure was released in conjunction with the release of the second Harry Potter movie, The Chamber of Secrets, even though it's based on a character from the first movie, The Sorcerer's Stone. One can spot the difference easily: the original Deluxe Creature Collection has photos of Hagrid, Mountain Troll, and Fluffy figures, while the second version of the Deluxe Creature Collection has pictures of Fluffy, Mountain Troll, Knight, and Norbert Figures. Also, the original Deluxe Creature Collection shows additional photos from the Wizard Collection, while the second version shows additional photos from the Slime Chamber and Quidditch Team Collections and a new Wizard Collection consisting of Griphook and Lord Voldemort.
