Carlton the Bear is the official mascot of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Making his team debut in 1995, Carlton's name and number (#60) comes from the location of Maple Leaf Gardens, 60 Carlton Street, the Leafs home arena from 1931 to 1999. He has made appearances at 20 different arenas in 17 cities over his career. Carlton was also named chair of the first annual Mascot Summit which took place at the NHL All-Star Game in 2000.
